On Campus Services
Student Support Services
The Hibbing Community College's Student Support Services program is a federally funded TRIO program designed to provide benefits for low income, disabled and first generation college students.
Students make many changes when starting college. The extra attention and support from our SSS staff can help make this transition smoother. We will assist you with your personal and academic problems, provide you with career guidance, connect you socially with other students, help you with transfer issues, enhance your study skills and connect you with tutoring opportunities on campus. All services are provided FREE for eligible enrolled Hibbing Community College students.
The Student Support Services program has been active at HCC since 1990. Two hundred students each year are helped to achieve their educational and career goals.
"Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal."
Who is eligible?
Services are free to enrolled students meeting at least one of the following criteria:
-
Low Income (as set by Federal guidelines)
-
Physical or Learning Disability
-
First Generation (neither parent has a four-year college degree by the student's 18th birthday)
If you are not sure whether you are eligible for these special services, give us a call.
